The Role of the School Counselor Today

Bio:
 
Bob McDonald is a retired educator and counselor who has worked in the educational system for 47 years.  He is originally from Canada where he was educated and worked in the Canadian public school system for 12 years as a teacher, counselor and principal.
 
He is a graduate of the K-12 public school system and then the University of Manitoba.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (major in French), a Bachelor of Education degree (major in counseling psychology) and a Master of Education degree (major in counseling psychology). 
 
Bob started his career teaching French to high school students, but very quickly moved into a full-time counseling position, and then school principalship. He has worked in all grades K-12. He is now retired and living in Happy Valley.
 
Bob has had a life-long desire to help children have a better childhood. He has, as a result, pursued the counseling career avenue and he has always employed his counseling skills in his school administrative roles
