There are many different areas for volunteers to assist in the hospice setting. One of course, is visiting/sitting with terminally ill patients. Visits may include playing cards, crafting, reading aloud, helping them document their life story, transporting them or their pets to appointments, picking up groceries, correspondence or helping with pets. Another way to support hospice patients is through Pet or Music Therapy, gardening or yard upkeep. Are you creative? Making cards, sewing bibs, helping in the main office or with events are other ways to volunteer with Mt. Hood Hospice.
