Why do we shop small?

1. Small businesses create a sense of community. Community events are made possible because of participating local Gresham businesses. 
2. Small and local businesses give back more to your community. According to Civic Economics, "On average, 48% of each purchase at local independent businesses is recirculated locally, compared to the less than 14% of purchases at chain stores."
3. Small businesses make a major economic impact in our City. According to the SBA, since 1990, small businesses have added 9 million jobs. The more you shop local, the more local job opportunities will increase.
