Event Description:
SHARE SOME HOLIDAY JOY THIS SEASON!
Volunteer at the 15th Annual Human Solutions' Holiday Store, where families with low/no incomes come to select gifts for their kids that they otherwise cannot afford.
You can join in the festivities by volunteering both before and during the holiday store. You can volunteer as an individual or as a group in a variety of roles:
DURING THE EVENT:
- Organizers set up the store, sort donations and set out new items.
- Check Out Clerks pack and bag gifts for the families and help carry goodies to their cars. (Requires some moderate lifting)
- Cookie bakers keep that table piled high - and the hot chocolate flowing!
- Gift wrappers send shoppers home with beautiful packages or the supplies to wrap themselves.
BEFORE THE EVENT
- Committee Members solicit donations and plan the event.
- Donation Runners retrieve donations and deliver them to the Holiday Store location.
- Help us find event sponsors to cover costs.
